Anxious

Anxious by Jason Ly

“Anxious” is the embodiment of anxiety to me in a sort of abstract character through the use of textural line work and forms that appealed to me visually to show the anxiety. This is also represented in a boat like form going through the face of the character. Which is like an intense smile on a worried looking face that completely conceals the actual mouth. The character’s hands open the inside of his body represents the stress and culmination of tearing yourself apart, but instead of guts there’s a empty void. The feet are non-representational and the legs are crossed to show unease and strain.
