“Bound” is a nonlinear narrative in which I explore the connection between my aggressive pursuit of traditionally male dominated activities as a child and teenager and the discomfort I feel regarding my own gender identity as an adult.

In this video, I compare the physical pain of an injury I endured while skateboarding in an attempt to prove that I could keep up with my male peers, to the emotional pain I experience at not feeling truly comfortable at either end of the gender binary

This video was my attempt to reconcile my own uncertainty while also addressing the frustration I feel towards having to name and categorise my identity for the convenience and comfort of others.
