Day 0: FEBRUARY 22 (FIRST DAY)
The Spring 2016 I-Am Project is an interactive art project where members of Amendment’s Art Committee drew outlines of human shaped individuals on large paper posters with an identity written on them (such as “I am a Virgin”, “I am Black”, “I am Transgender”, “I am a Sex Worker” … etc …). The posters are posted on hallways of school buildings and passers by are encouraged to write or draw how they think a person with that kind of identity would look like or would like to be perceived as. Another poster the committee members placed in the hallways are a smaller square blank poster for passers by to draw or write down how they feel at the moment, how they identify themselves or how they perceive themselves as.
